January 25, 2008

Dear Friend of the Foundation:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in and support for The California Wellness Foundation’s public education campaign to raise awareness about California’s health care workforce and its diversity.

Following a competitive RFP process, TCWF’s Board of Directors approved a grant in December to continue the campaign with a grant to a new organization. Fenton Communications will build upon the work conducted for the last two years by Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.

In the coming months, Fenton’s team will be conducting market research, refining target audiences for the campaign’s messages, and planning improvements to the health care careers informational website that debuted in 2006.

We are very appreciative of the commitments made by the campaign’s partners, grantee organizations funded by TCWF, and others who have lent their expertise to the public education campaign. We hope that you will continue to participate in these efforts in 2008.

Erin Hart, senior vice president, is the primary contact at Fenton Communications. TCWF will be sharing information with her team about organizations that have previously participated in the campaign. However, if you would like to contact her directly, she can be reached at (415) 901-0111 or ehart@fenton.com.

Sincerely,

Gary L. Yates

Gary L. Yates
President and CEO
